Make a difference by removing debris and protecting our ocean.

200 US dollars

Service Description

The PADI AWARE Dive Against Debris course empowers you to protect the ocean by identifying, removing, and reporting marine debris directly from the dive sites you visit. This specialty teaches you how to safely collect debris underwater, sort and record your findings, and submit your data to the global Dive Against Debris database — used by scientists and conservationists to track and fight marine pollution. You’ll learn proper lift, removal, and safety techniques, as well as how to distinguish between natural materials and harmful debris. Diving in Carlisle Bay Marine Park makes this course particularly meaningful, as you get the chance to care for an area rich in wildlife, wrecks, and local history. This is a fantastic specialty for divers who love the ocean and want to take practical steps to protect it, contributing directly to global conservation efforts. Includes PADI eLearning. Divers must be 12 years of age or older. Upon booking, you will receive an email containing a secure payment link for deposit. This deposit is required to confirm your reservation and to provide access to the necessary eLearning materials. ** Our Complimentary Refresher Course is mandatory for all divers who have not been diving in over a year. This refresher helps ensure you are comfortable completing essential skills with our equipment and up to date with safe diving practices before your dive. The refresher is offered at no additional cost and will not take away from your dive packages. Thank you for your understanding and for helping us maintain a safe diving environment for everyone. ~All prices are in USD~
