Dive Conservation at Green Divers

Our Commitment to the Ocean – We are GREEN Divers for a reason!
The ocean is more than our workplace, it’s our passion and our responsibility. We are deeply committed to protecting the marine environment that makes our dives so special. From responsible diving practices and reef-safe operations to education and conservation support, we strive to minimize our impact and maximize our care for the underwater world.

Every dive we run is guided by respect for marine life, and we do everything we can to preserve healthy oceans for future generations of divers, explorers, and the marine species that call it home.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

  • Our Dive Shop is built into a recycled container.

  • We strive to be as paper-less as possible, which is why we send you the necessary forms in advance and ask that they are emailed back to us prior to your arrival.

  • Our Decor supports local artists and is all available for purchase.

  • We offer reusable water bottles for hydration as opposed to single-use plastic cups.

  • We encourage guests to bring reef-safe sunscreen and also sell some within the shop for those that can't bring their own

  • We source locally wherever possible to reduce import impact and support the local economy

Green Fins

Green Fins is an internationally recognised environmental program designed to promote sustainable diving and snorkelling practices worldwide.

As a proud Green Fins Digital Member, we follow established environmental standards that help reduce the impact of diving operations on coral reefs and marine ecosystems.

By aligning with Green Fins principles we demonstrate our commitment to protecting the ocean environment and operating in a way that supports long-term marine conservation.

Lionfish Hunts

Lionfish are still considered an invasive species in the Caribbean and remain a threat to our reefs. We are happy for Divers to bring lionfish spears and zookeepers on any dive so that we can keep our reefs free of these pesky predators.

We also conduct monthly 'specific' Lionfish Hunts where we will dive different sites, that are not on our typical roster, to ensure the lionfish are not congregating on lesser reefs.

Enjoy fresh Ceviche or Grilled Lionfish after the hunts with us! Sign up for our Dive Club to be notified of when these events will take place.

Dive Against Debris

Every Dive with us is a PADI Dive Against Debris. Our Dive Masters and Instructors always carry mesh bags and are sure to leave no trash behind. We have "adopted" numerous dive sites and strive to keep them free of debris by visiting them at least once a week.

We will also host specific PADI Dives Against Debris dives every month in various locations that are not typical dive sites, but sites that we are more likely to find debris that has fallen off catamarans or blown in from the beach.

Join our Dive Club to be notified of when these dives are taking place.
