Get Your Check-In Done Before You Arrive

We like to make things as easy as possible for our divers, which is why we send your liability and medical forms at the time of booking. You can also send us a photo of your certification card ahead of time, allowing us to verify your certification before your first dive. This makes for one less thing that needs to be packed and helps us remain paperless and ecofriendly.

That means when you arrive at Green Divers, the admin is already taken care of and you're ready to get geared up and get in the water!

It's one less thing to think about when you're excited to start your Barbados dive adventure.

Leave the Heavy Gear at Home

Wondering whether it's worth paying extra baggage fees to bring your entire set of dive equipment?

It doesn't have to be! Green Divers Barbados has brand-new Mares rental equipment, so you can count on quality, dependable gear without having to haul it halfway around the world.

The waters around Barbados are warm year-round, so there's no need to pack a thick, bulky wetsuit. Depending on your personal comfort level, many divers are perfectly happy diving in a rash guard and swimsuit, while others prefer the extra coverage of a lightweight wetsuit.

From BCDs and regulators to wetsuits and other essential equipment, we've got the gear you need for your dives. Leave the bulky equipment at home, save on luggage fees and arrive ready for your underwater adventure.

That means more room in your suitcase for beach clothes, souvenirs and maybe a little extra room for a Green Divers T-shirt!

Your Own Mask Is Always a Good Idea

If there's one piece of dive equipment we recommend you pack for yourBarbados dive vacation, it's your mask. It's small, light, and having a mask that fits you properly can truly make or break a dive! Don't have your own mask? No problem. We have a variety of rental options available too.

Don't Forget Your Sun Protection

While the underwater world is the star of the show, you'll spend plenty of time enjoying the Barbadian sunshine between dives. One thing we do think is important to bring is your preferred sun protection! We are close to the equator here so you'll have to trust us when we say that this sun is hot! Sunburns happen very quickly in Barbados so keeping your self covered (or re-applying sunscreen frequently) is important!

Make sure sun protection is on your packing list, including:

• Reef-safe sunscreen

• Sunglasses

• A hat or cap

• Lightweight, breathable clothing

• A reusable water bottle

• A rash guard or UV-protective shirt

A rash guard is especially useful for boat days, surface intervals and snorkeling. And remember, you can still get plenty of sun exposure while you're on the water, even when it's breezy or partly cloudy.

Forgot your sunscreen? Don't panic. We sell reef-safe sunscreen at Green Divers, so you can pick some up when you arrive.

Bring Your Underwater Camera... Or Let Us Handle It

Barbados is full of underwater photo opportunities, from colourful coral and tropical fish to turtles, rays and historic shipwrecks.

If you have a GoPro or underwater camera that you love using, definitely bring it along.

But if you don't want to travel with extra camera equipment, we've got options.

You can add an underwater photographer to your dive with our photo package add-on, giving you professional images to remember your dives by.

Prefer to capture the adventure yourself? Rent a GoPro from Green Divers and record your own underwater experiences. Your footage can be sent to you online after your dives, so you don't have to worry about transferring files or finding space for extra equipment in your luggage.

And, of course, remember our Green Diver rule: take only photos and leave only bubbles.
